The Traditional Christian doctrine that God is simultaneously the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons in one, and addresses the relation between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This issue as at the center of the Arian controversy that was initially settled at the first council of Nicaea, but raged on for centuries.
