HISTORY of Christian Theology

The term derived from the Latin word meaning “reborn” that refers to the European cultural movement from the 14th to the 17th centuries that sought to advance learning through the recovery of classical texts and ideas and saw great advances in the arts. (c. A.D. 1350) The Renaissance begins in Italy after the highly disruptive Black Plague, renewing interest in the arts, culture, humanism, and classical (pre-Christian) antiquity.
