HISTORY of Christian Theology

(c. A.D. 1140–1205) Peter Waldo was the leader of a medieval Christian spiritual movement known as the Waldensians. Waldo advocated for simplicity and poverty, denouncing what he saw as papal excesses. He also denounced Catholic dogmas like purgatory and transubstantiation.
