HISTORY of Christian Theology

Refers to a religion developed during the Enlightenment based on reason in contrast to revelation, i.e. “positive” religion such as Judaism and traditional Christianity. Its proponents believed that the true universal religion consisted of Judeo-Christian moral teachings stripped of non-rational traditions such as rituals and miracles.
