HISTORY of Christian Theology

Horace Bushnell (A.D. 1802–1876) was an American theologian and minister who, against significant opposition, taught that God could only be explained in approximate language and so there can never be a complete and definitive dogmatic theology. Instead, direct spiritual experiences, intuitions, and feelings hold a place of primacy.
