HISTORY of Christian Theology

This is the Greek term invented during the first Nicene Council to describe the relation between the Father and the Son in the Trinity and is the foundation of the Nicene Creed. The general translation of the term means “of one substance,” “of one essence” or “of one being,” and means that the Son has the same divine essence or being as the Father.
