HISTORY of Christian Theology

(c. A.D. 246–330) Helena was Empress of the Roman Empire through her marriage to Emperor Constantius and mother to Emperor Constantine. She converted to Christianity after her son became Emperor, and later made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land where she is thought to have discovered major relics such as the true cross.
