HISTORY of Christian Theology

is a broad label covering a wide range of non-orthodox forms of Christianity which proliferated in the early Church that devalued the material world and emphasized the need to acquire special knowledge to escape to a higher spiritual realm. The term come from the Greek word for “knowledge,” gnosis.
