HISTORY of Christian Theology

grew out of 19th century American evangelicalism that felt liberal Protestantism was abandoning the fundamentals of the faith. Specifically this term applies to a movement beginning around 1920 that is characterized by a high regard for scriptural infallibility, and often involves Dispensationalist theology with pre-millennialism.
