HISTORY of Christian Theology

(c. 1000 B.C.) David is known for killing the giant Goliath when he was a young shepherd and later when he was king of Israel expanding the territory and glory of the kingdom. He wrote a number of the poetic psalms in the Old Testament. He is viewed by Christians as a type for Christ. Many Biblical messianic prophesies refer to Christ position as the anointed ruler of God’s Kingdom.
