HISTORY of Christian Theology

Clovis I (c. A.D. 466–511) was a Frankish chieftain who united the Frankish tribes under the rule of one king. He ensured his kingship descended to his heirs, thereby establishing the Merovingian dynasty. Clovis I also converted to Catholicism, which then spread rapidly in his kingdom.
